MIPELON™ (UHMW-PE) is a ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fine powder with a very small particle size: 10 to 65 microns. MIPELON™ (UHMW-PE) gives improved lubrication, abrasion resistance, impact strength and chemical resistance when being added to various resins and rubbers.

MIPELON™ is an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene in the form of fine powder developed by Mitsui Chemicals. While the average particle size of conventional ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene powder is 150 to 200 μm, MIPELON™ can be successfully reduced to fine particles having an average particle size of 10 to 65 μm with our special polymerization technique and retaining its high molecular weight.
The addition of MIPELON™ to various resins, rubber, greases and coating materials results in improved self-lubrication, as well as in resistance to abrasion and chemicals because of the characteristics of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. Good dispersion property of MIPELON™ results in exceptional mechanical properties.
