Food Contact Materials
Some of MCE's products are specially designed to be used as or in Food Contact Materials, e.g. special grades of TAFMER, ADMER, TPX etc.
EU Legislation: Besides complying with the safety requirements of the Framework Regulation EC No. 1935/2004 the monomers and additives of those food contact grades are on the Positive List of Directive 2002/72/EC and/or its amendments 2004/1/EC, 2004/19/EC, 2005/79/EC and 2007/19/EC.
EU National Legislation: Our Food Contact Products are also in compliance with National Legislation.
FDA: Most Food Contact grades fulfill the requirements of relevant paragraphs of 21 CFR.
Dual Use Additives: The Food Contact Grades do not contain any Dual Use Additives subject to a restriction in food.

Automotive Applications
Several products of MCE are suitable for automotive applications, e.g. Mitsui Chemicals Compounds, Milastomer, Admer etc.
To help our customers verify compliance with ELV Directive 2000/53/EC and amendments we create Material Data Sheets in IMDS and send them to our customers. Our products are free of any declarable or prohibited substances according to GADSL (Global Automotive Declarable Substances List).
